it's not the sea to drink
it's not the sea to drink is an extended technique opera following a single character trying to stop the sun from setting. It explores themes of temporalisation, mistranslation, change and transition, what it means to perform and the smell of sweat. We are becoming, shedding skin, losing hair, transforming and being transformed, but what happens to the things we lose, the selves left behind?
